MTA Bus Crashed Into Building in Queens
On Sunday, April 7, 2019, an MTA bus struck a passenger car making a turn at an intersection in Woodside Queens. The bus then jumped a curb and crashed into a bagel store.
There were approximately six (6) passengers on the Q18 bus at the time of the crash.
The crash appears to have occurred when a Honda passenger car attempted to make a left turn on 58th Street in front of the oncoming bus. The Honda was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.
Fortunately, it was a quiet day and there was a low level of injuries reported. One injured party was taken by ambulance to nearby Elmhurst Hospital. In addition, the bus driver reported injuries to his wrists and ankles.
