Hurt at a Nightclub or Bar in New York City?
New York law requires bar and club owners operate their businesses in a manner that is safe for the public.
This includes maintaining restaurant furniture such as tables and chairs, repairing facilities including banquet rooms, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells and doorways.
In addition, bar and club owners are required to provide adequate security. Whenever alcoholic beverages are sold for consumption, there is a risk of an intoxicated patron getting into a fight or acting out in other ways.
When club and bar security guards fail to protect patrons in a fight, an injured party may be entitled to financial compensation.
