A car was hit by an LIRR train at a train crossing intersection in Brentwood, Long Island.

The driver was killed, and no injuries were reported aboard the westbound train.

LIRR train service was suspended between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale for both Eastbound and Westbound trains.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
